PART FOUR
Kaylee nodded, "what you need?"
"I–I just needed a few things." Simon fought to smile, "w–when you guys hit the surface."
After placing her hands on her hips, she managed a weak smile, "why not just have lover boy get it for you?"
At first not answering her, Simon struggle to speak then coughed. "I assume you mean Jayne. I–I–I can't really ask him. He won't know what I mean. I'd really appreciate it if you--."
"Oh I donno doc." She almost hopped as she shrugged, "I reckon you can draw him a picture or something. Can't ya?"
He watched her closely then gave up and nodded as he turned to make his way out of the engine room. "Y-yes. I suppose."
Jayne combed his fingers through Simon's hair. He was sitting with his back against the wall while Simon sat between his legs.
"If you're getting any lip from anybody, just say the word and I'll go beat them to a pulp."
"N–no. It's nothing like that." Simon shrugged at a loss, "it–it's just a bit hard with Kaylee."
"Kaylee, huh?" Jayne stared at the wall as he nodded, "hmm, never liked her anyhow. Consider her gone."
Simon laughed, "stop it."
The strong arms tightened as Jayne pressed his chin against Simon's head. "Anybody else?"
"N–not really." Simon shrugged, "Shepard pulled me aside to have a 'Btalk'."
"What?"
"Yup." He smiled, "it was more like, 'Bson, it's alright that you like what you like, but, Jayne?'."
Simon seemed to be the only one to find the humor as he laughed.
Jayne's brow narrowed, "what'd that old fogy mean by that?"
"Nothing." Simon turned in his embrace and took a small kiss. "It's probably just jealousy."
Feeling the kisses by his neck, Jayne smiled and tried not to look down as Simon descended slowly. "I'm really starting to get used to that."
Simon's blue eyes were loving, "so much so that you can't even watch?"
With a sigh, Jayne shook his head, "it's just . . . I don't know. Mine's not as nice as yours."
"I disagree."
Jayne smiled, "you've been hanging out with me a lot lately."
He was given a warm smile, "I have?"
"Yeah." Even though he knew they were alone, Jayne looked around then pulled Simon into a sitting position once more. "Tell you what," after biting his bottom lip nervously, he nodded, "I'll take you on a date." He spoke before Simon could smile, "if--."
"Wait." Simon was cautious, "a real date? Not going on a mission for a few hours sorta date? Not, you know, you stealing food and getting locked up sorta date, a real date?" He spoke before Jayne got the chance, "one that doesn't involve me as bait, correct?"
Jayne smiled, "a real date. I'll even pay." At the sight of the grateful smile, he shrugged, "if. . . ."
Simon groaned, "great. I knew it was too good to be true."
"Come on." Seeing the cautious blue eyes, Jayne smiled, "if I cum before you do. I'll take you out." The sudden laughter caused his smile to grow as he eased back then laid slowly. "If you tell ANYBODY about this," he glanced to Simon's groin then looked to the surprised expression. "I mean ANYBODY, I'll kill you."
At first stunned, Simon managed to speak,"y–you don't have to do that."
"I know," Jayne shrugged, "but you'd fancy it. Right?"
"Well who wouldn't but--." Simon sighed, "there's no reason to perform fellatio to get me aroused. I'm--."
"Yeah well," Jayne smiled, "I don't feel like springing for a real meal." He laid on his left and placed his upper body along Simon's thigh as he reached between his own legs slowly. "Keep your eye on me since it's so easy."
Simon's anxiety and arousal grew, "Jayne please. . . ."
Jayne kissed Simon's belly button and exhaled as he began to handle himself, "you never asked me what I liked doc." He hesitated but took Simon's erection into his mouth.
While watching him in awe, Simon tried to crawl away. "Jayne. . . ." After glancing to Jayne's body, Simon closed his eyes when he saw the hard tool rubbed slowly. Both tasks were rare indeed and he fought to witness them incase they would be rare once again.
It was rocky at first, but Jayne soon found the proper rhythm as he squeezed his own swollen balls then ran his thumb along his shaft slowly. When Simon's tool hardened in his mouth, he assumed the other display was being watched, and the thought of it caused him to slow in his pace.
After bending his right knee, he held his scrotum and dick together then stroked them.
While watching the situation, Simon eased his lower body forward then leaned back.
Jayne took note of the situation then froze and looked down curiously as Simon's left hand appeared. The sight of Simon's middle finger stroking the throbbing pucker caused Jayne to gape somewhat, and he quickly took the damp cock into his mouth as he turned his upper body. When Simon fingered himself and gave off a helpless moan, Jayne handled himself faster.
Seeing him, Simon leaned back and pushed his lower body out once more as he added another digit. Jayne's grunts caused Simon to close his eyes and he slowed in his own pace when he felt he was near. Simon gasped, "this is one of the few times I wished there were two of you."
When Jayne's cock began to erupt, Simon fell to his own left and pulled the throbbing erection into his mouth, all the while matching Jayne's task of thrusting softly. He was still fingering himself and swallowed without pause.
Simon looked around with a smile, "well this isn't bad either."
Jayne grumbled as he lumbered through the door. "A little help."
"Oh." Simon rushed to his aid, "oh sorry." After putting the large bags down, Simon waited for Jayne's hands to be empty before he draped his arms over his tall lover's shoulders. "You're not still ticked about losing, are you?"
After surveying the shuttle, Jayne shrugged, "I guess this ain't so bad."
"And." Simon bit his bottom lip with a smile, "we can turn the coms off."
He was regarded in surprise, "are you sure?" At the nod, Jayne lifted him from the ground, "well hot damn, then it's worth it."
Jayne was beaming when he gathered the bags, "two whole days of peace and quiet and sex, and alone time and more sex." He smiled in satisfaction, "damn, I wish we could have done that more often."
Simon smiled as the door opened, "it was nice to have an actual BED."
"Oh come on. Don't act like you didn't miss those hot iron floors."
The sarcasm overflowed. "Of course, how could I not?"
Perhaps being greeted by the whole crew would have been less suspicious, but seeing Mal's concerned expression caused Simon to pause before he stepped out of the shuttle.
They were both silent and Jayne looked between them slowly. "What? What you two making googly eyes over?"
Mal watched Simon from behind the glass and sighed. "She just fell."
Jayne was standing to his right and nodded, "so is she in for it?"
"She ain't dead."
"Damn." When he was regarded in surprise, Jayne tried to recover, "I mean, damn for this to happen."
When Simon emerged from the infirmary, Mal tried to be helpful. "We couldn't get in touch with you. Zoe did the best she could." He tried to mask his discomfort, "she gonna be alright doc?"
Simon nodded miserably, "she's . . . she's in a slight como and--," after looking between Mal and Jayne, he sighed, "I don't know." He rubbed his own brow, "in all honesty, from the distance and from the injuries, she should be awake. I have to run some more test. Just monitor her."
Mal nodded in defeat, "yeah. I get ya. Well, I can have Zo keep you company if you plan to stay here all night."
Jayne chimed in, "I'll stay."
Never taking his eyes off Mal, Simon nodded, "Zoe would be nice. Thank you."
Simon made his way back into the room and Mal held Jayne's arm before he could follow. "Just give him sometime."
Jayne wore a look of confusion, "what was that all 'Bbout? He pretended I wasn't even here."
"Come on. We still have some jobs to do."
"Pst."
At the third 'pst', Simon awoke from the infirmary bed.
He focused in the dim light then got to his feet and approached the door where Jayne was crouched down.
Feeling somewhat awkward, Simon crouched down to meet him, "what?"
"Hey doc," Jayne shrugged, "you ok?" He was given a small nod and a gracious smile and shrugged, "figured you'd be up for some cock hockey."
Simon's eyes widened in awe, "what?"
"You know." Jayne shrugged, "a little hide the saussage--."
Though the punch was awkward, Jayne held his jaw then focused on Simon in confusion.
"What'd I say?"
The slight shadow caused him to look up at Zoe's calm face after she had approached. "Get out of here, Mr. Sensitive."
When Simon was helped to stand fully, his face was red and he seemed as if he wanted to strangle Jayne, weep, then strangle Jayne again.
The expression caused Jayne to frown then back away in discomfort.
"Dammit!" Jayne tried to eat his meal as he voiced his anger, "I can't believe I'm hoping that human jack-in-the-box actually gets better."
Shepard sat before him, "well, it's nice to see you slightly concerned at least."
"Concerned?" Jayne seemed as though he wanted to spit. "I ain't concerned for her. But you'd think if she's asleep with no way to hurt herself, I'd get some major nookie time in." When there was a unanimous groan from the crowd at large, he eyed them in hate, "what? It's true. Now, when she's finally no longer a problem, I can't even get a hug without risking fucking castration."
Their disgust was cut short as Kaylee rushed in. "Everybody come quick. Simon needs us."
Jayne watched with a slight smile as River's body vibrated and several people tried to hold her down. His smile faded little by little as he was in deep thought.
Simon had his eyes closed as he leaned against the wall with his right shoulder. Some distance away, he was watched by a familiar pair of hopeless eyes and Jayne's tone was soft.
"Can I hold you?"
While shaking his head, Simon fought back his upset, "I'd really rather you didn't."
Jayne was almost counting down and when Simon didn't drop, he spoke softly instead. "I ain't got nothing warm to say to you doc. I know I don't. If I try, I'll make things worse, but your hurting. I know you is. You can't do otherwise."
The tone was doleful, "I let her die."
"You didn't let nobody die--."
"I just stood there," Simon's voice was soft, "and watched her die."
He didn't receive a response. The silence was almost affirmation, and Jayne tried desperately to fill it."Doc--."
"Leave me alone Jayne." Simon smiled bitterly, "maybe I'm not as manly as you but I'm still a man and I want to be alone right now. I don't want to cower in your embrace after I just let my sister's life slip through my fingers, I just want to be alone."
He was watched in sympathy and Jayne nodded. "Yeah doc, maybe you ain't as 'Bmanly' as me or whatever, but you're more a man than I am. That you can still be standing after that." His frown grew, "I'll leave you be."
It was one month to date that Jayne watched his sex-life die. Oh, and River die too.
So there he was, sitting in his room, sitting on his bed, watching the ground, in mourning. Absolute and total mourning. He and Simon barely spoke. If one could call grunting a response even speaking.
They avoided each other, or rather, Simon avoided him.
The thought of it caused him to sink to the ground and he sighed miserably before undressing. Ever since he'd stop having sex, he couldn't even bare the thought of masturbating. It was depressing, just reminding him that he was alone.
Besides, the very fact that it was one of Simon's favorite viewing past times only caused him to hate the thought more. So sleeping naked was a must. He'd sweat too much, besides, nocturnal emissions were very real and he wasn't a lover of doing laundry.
So it was both laziness and bitterness that drove him to sleep bare. Not that he didn't often sleep bare before he got into a 'Brelationship'.
Sleep was always the hardest to do, especially when the thought that a month prior, he was laying in bed for two whole days, not a care in the universe, not a trouble in the universe, beside the warmest body he'd ever felt.
The thought caused him to groan and he swore, if he wasn't so filled with pride, he would have broken into tears. He entertained the idea but fell asleep too soon to follow through on those plans.
With the warm body slipping into bed beside him, he would have left it to his imagination, but nearly had a heart attack when he realized he wasn't dreaming.
A dainty finger was placed over his lips. "Shhh."
"Shhh?" Jayne spoke against the finger, "you think I'd say shit and risk you leaving?" He groaned then bit his lips inward pitifully. Seeing the awaiting smile, he said a silent 'Bthank you god above' and pulled the lean body close.
He found it difficult to sleep that night and looked down to Simon who's head was on his chest. Simon's bare shoulder was exposed and when Jayne held it securely, Simon jolted awake.
"Shhh. It's me."
While shutting his eyes tighter, Simon nodded, "hey."
"You ok?"
"Yes. I'm ok."
At first not wanting to mention it, Jayne gave up and tried to mask his discomfort, "we--we've
never really had sex like that before."
Simon's warm body snuggled closer. "So?"
Jayne frowned, "maybe it was too soon to do anything."
The low tone was muffled, "you didn't seem to care."
After swallowing hard, Jayne confessed, "I was too horny to care but," he exhaled as he closed his eyes, "why'd you start crying afterwards?" He caught Simon before he rose, "I miss you a lot and if you're gonna get up and go then I won't mention it again. Ok? But," he sighed, "I don't feel right if you're gonna cry after every time. It was a little rough anyhow." The on-going silence
pressured him to say more, "you didn't even cum. I mean--."
"Either shut up or I'm leaving."
Jayne clammed up promptly and Simon snuggled closer.
Wash sat down with a plate in hand. "Thought for sure you'd be out risking your neck with the others."
"Yeah. Well I'm not really up to it." Jayne shrugged, "besides, I worry about the doc."
"Yeah." Wash frowned in sympathy, "at least if he can take comfort in you, it'll help."
"He changed a little." Jayne focused on Wash finally, "can I talk to you? I mean, I ain't never had nobody I care about. So, maybe you can help me."
Cautious didn't begin to describe Wash as he nodded. "Sure."
"Well," Jayne sighed, "I ain't never really care how I get it, so long as I do, but it's my understanding that you don't hurt nobody. That's strange."
Trying to keep afloat, Wash spoke slowly, "how?"
"With sex." Jayne looked to him then found interest in the table, "he's actually making me hate sex." The huff was soft, "I mean hate it. We always start off so sweet, like old times. Then when I get into it, or he does, it gets weird. I mean, what he asks for don't seem so bad at first, then it gets worse, and then after, if I don't get off, he gets upset and we have to wait some days, then
when I do, he's in tears, like RIGHT after." He drooped miserably, "I hate seeing him cry. He always promises it's gonna be different."
Not really having a response, Wash frowned and tried to be helpful, "if it gets weird, how can it GET weird. I mean--."
"Alright, like," Jayne sat up, "candles. I'm not into that much kinky stuff. I mean, hey, if it's there, fine, if it's not, fine, sex is sex. He wants to put hot wax on me." They both nodded as Jayne continued, "well, he wanted me to do it to him, but I didn't want to, so he says he'll do it to me and I'll see. I mean, it wasn't so bad. It was actually kinda hot."
When he fell silent, Wash leaned close, "and?"
"And." Jayne frowned, "he tells me to keep going with it, that it didn't hurt him, but when I wake up, there's this huge red burn mark on him, so he lied to me."
The tone was sympathetic, "I think he's in a lot of pain. If you cared about him, you'd–you'd stay away."
"I already tried that but I mean it." Jayne focused on him again. "I ain't never seen the doc cry and when he comes to me blubbering I don't know what to do. Hell, I'd confess to murder at that point. Anything to get him to fucking stop."
"Still--."
"Forget it." Jayne picked his plate up and stood, "you don't get it. I'm gonna talk to Mal. When I lock my door, I want it to stay locked."
